Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about buying, selling, and how Mulligan Mall works.

These answers describe how Mulligan Mall works today. We run the marketplace (listings, checkout, shipping help, and support). The deal itself is between buyer and seller. Money for an order is paid through Mulligan Mall and stays with that order until it is finished. For the full story, see About. For the legal detail (including money, refunds, and disputes), see Terms and conditions. Need help? Use Contact Us in the menu.

Mulligan Mall is a South African marketplace for golf gear. We host listings, handle checkout, help with shipping through courier partners, and support you if something goes wrong.

The sale is between the buyer and the seller. Mulligan Mall does not own the items listed on the site.

When a buyer pays, the money goes through our payment partner and is received by Mulligan Mall for that order. It stays with the order until the sale is completed under our rules. More detail is on About and in Terms and conditions.

Sign in, browse products, then either pay the listed price (sometimes called a straight purchase) or, if the seller allows it, send an offer at a price you choose.

If you make an offer, use Calculate shipping first so you see the full picture before you send it.

When you are ready to pay, you always check out on Mulligan Mall. Your payment is taken by our payment partner and held for that order until the sale is done. Shipping is set up on the site where that applies.

If a buyer protection fee applies, you will see it in your checkout summary before you pay (currently 3% on checkouts that use it).

Buy now means you pay the listed price and go straight to checkout.

Making an offer means you suggest a lower price. The seller can accept, decline, or wait. If they turned on auto-accept, offers at or above that level are accepted automatically.

Up to four active offers can sit on one listing at the same time. If it is full, try again after someone withdraws or is declined.

The sale is only final when checkout finishes on Mulligan Mall.

After a buyer pays, the money is taken by our payment partner and held by Mulligan Mall for that order until the sale is finished.

The seller’s wallet balance is updated only after the buyer confirms they received the item (pickup or delivery), or the confirmation window ends with no dispute raised.

It means you pay through Mulligan Mall, not by EFT or cash to someone you do not know outside the site.

Your payment is processed by our payment partner and is linked to your order on Mulligan Mall.

Where it applies, you pay a buyer protection fee. Right now that is 3% on checkouts that use it, and you will see it in your summary before you pay. The exact wording also appears at checkout and in Terms and conditions.

Where shipping applies, you book it through Mulligan Mall. You see options and prices at checkout, or when you tap Calculate shipping on an offer.

In the usual flow, buyers and sellers do not need to swap private phone numbers or home addresses with each other. The courier gets what they need to collect and deliver.

The seller packs the item and meets the courier for collection. Both sides can follow status and tracking in their dashboard.

Mulligan Mall is not the courier; we work with delivery companies. Insurance and risk follow the carrier’s rules and ours. For packing tips, see How should I pack and ship golf equipment? below.

Golf equipment packaging (quick guide)

  • Wrap items securely. Use plenty of bubble wrap. It is the best way to avoid damage.
  • Tape everything firmly. Use strong tape so nothing can work loose in transit.
  • No movement inside. Nothing should rattle around. Add padding until it feels solid.
  • Protect club heads & shafts. Use headcovers or extra wrap to prevent scratches and snapping.
  • Bundle items safely. Group clubs together and separate heads to avoid damage.
  • Keep it compact and dry. Do not use a box that is much too big, and protect against rain where you can.

Important: Bubble wrap and strong tape are your best friends. If the item arrives badly packed, it can hurt a claim or a return.

Sign in and open Sell. Add clear photos and an honest description of the item you actually have and can send.

Set your listed price, choose if you want to allow offers, and optionally set auto-accept so strong offers are accepted for you.

Buyers always pay on Mulligan Mall. Their payment is held for the order until the sale is completed under our rules.

You handle the order, courier pickup, and tracking from your dashboard. Pack well before pickup; see How should I pack and ship golf equipment? above.

When a sale completes, we charge a transaction fee. Right now that is 6% where it is shown (when you sell and in My Wallet). The rate you saw when you sold is the one that counts.

Buyer money stays on Mulligan Mall for the order until the sale is finished. Then your wallet balance shows what you are owed from completed sales.

Money moves to your wallet after the buyer confirms receipt or the confirmation window ends with no dispute. Details are in Terms and conditions.

My Wallet shows what Mulligan Mall owes you from finished sales, after fees. It is a running balance on the site, not a bank account.

To withdraw: go to the wallet page when you have money available, and send it to the bank account on your profile.

Payouts often take a few business days. We may run checks first. A withdrawal fee may apply (see the wallet page). Your bank details must be verified before we can pay you.

If something is wrong (wrong item, damage, or it never arrived), do not tap “confirm receipt” until you have sorted it with us, if you still want help with a refund.

You need to report the problem in time, inside the buyer confirmation window (before it auto-confirms). Confirming too early can make refunds harder or slower.

How we help: use Contact Us. We look at the case, may ask the buyer and seller for photos or other proof, then decide what is fair.

Outcomes can be a full refund, a partial refund, or the claim may be declined. For disputes on the platform, our decision is final, as explained in Terms and conditions.

Sellers: bad packing can hurt a claim. Follow How should I pack and ship golf equipment? on this page.
